Guidance on Cleaning Equipment

Sterility is a top priority in stemming the spread of COVID-19. We wanted to share with you our guidelines and best practices for cleaning our Omnicell equipment.

Robotic dispensing solutions customers should clean frequently touched surfaces with a hard surface cleaner. You should not clean internal elements of the robot.

Using an Omnicell Cabinet While Wearing PPE

We recommend logging into Omnicell cabinets with your user name and password while you are wearing PPE as the fingerprint reader cannot read through gloves. 

We are aware as staff usually use their print to login they may have forgotten their user name and/or password. Your onsite System Administrator can look up your user name and also reset passwords. In addition, your Super Users can reset passwords at the cabinet if you can remember your user name.

Support for Retail Pharmacy Customers

We want to reassure you that we are well stocked with our extensive range of medication adherence consumable/packaging products for all your patients. Never has it been more important to ensure elderly patients and those with complex health conditions are supported to take the right dose of the right medication at the right time.

To support you in focusing your time on patient facing services we are happy to set up a pre-order schedule for you. This means you can set up orders today for the next 6 months and we will deliver it to you and take payments on the dates agreed in your schedule. Taking this step now should ensure you are best placed to have enough cards in the UK to meet your current demand.

We have our own warehouse and logistics team at our headquarters in the UK who remain operational. We have classed them as a critical service team that we need to keep operational to be able to support customers at this crucial time. As a result we have also taken the precautionary measure of creating an emergency stand in team for the warehouse should resources become depleted as a result of the virus.
