Our pledge to social responsibility
At Omnicell UK&I we want to ensure employees feel happy, supported and valued. This is why we have the Better Programme. An employee engagement programme that is run by colleagues to ensure we look after our people as well as our customers and community and to create a positive and fun workspace.
A large part of the Better Programme focuses on initiatives to support the global community. As a company and as employees, in small ways and large, we look beyond ourselves and seek to make a difference for others. Below are just a few of the ways our colleagues have contributed to the community.
Compassion where it’s needed most
Omnicell UK&I holds a range of charity fundraising events throughout the year. Colleagues travel from all over the country and get involved in activities to raise funds for various charities. These activities range from bake sales, baking competitions to fancy dress.
Passionate, action-oriented employees
Our colleagues are known for their passion, energy, and initiative—and they frequently put these qualities to work in service to better others.
We have recently introduced a food bank donation station where colleagues can donate various foods and goods. These items are then donated to the local food bank to support the local community near our International HQ in Manchester.
We also run a Challenge It, Change It scheme where colleagues can suggest initiatives to increase efficiencies. These ideas range from reducing carbon and energy to eliminating waste.
Responsible supply chain sourcing
Omnicell is committed to complying with the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act regarding the use of so-called ”conflict minerals” such as tin, tantalum, Tungsten, and gold in the solutions we build. We’re committed to taking reasonable measures to source conflict-free minerals, and encourage our suppliers and partners to do the same.
We follow the 5-step process recommended by the internationally recognized OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas:
